a little about me
As a mother of three children I have always loved baking cakes, cookies, brownies, you name it! However when my daughter was diagnosed at the age of 3 with an allergy to eggs and nuts, it definitely posed a new baking challenge for me. If I needed a special cake from a bakery, it was literally impossible to find one that was not made with eggs. So began my quest to find a delicious cake recipe that was made without eggs (or nuts). I began to experiment decorating cakes and discovered that it was something that I truly enjoyed.
I am self-taught, however my experience includes an AA degree in Fine Arts and years of decorating cakes in a bakery. I work with people to design custom cakes for their special occasion, taking into account colors, theme and their vision. I have done many wedding cakes, grooms cakes, bridal and baby showers, 1st Birthdays, Sweet 16 cakes and more! I enjoy challenging cakes and take pride in my work.
I offer a very personalized experience, and take care not to make too many cakes at once. For the best chance that I will have your date free please contact me at least 4 to 6 weeks in advance. I do occasionally have availability on short notice, however custom cakes do require at least 1 weeks notice, so contact me as soon as you know the date of your event.
I currently offer custom cakes, cupcakes, cakepops, oreo pops, cake jars and custom cookies. I also do birthday parties and an occasional cake decorating class at a local venue.
I am also licensed and insured and deliver to many venues on Long Island and to NYC. Delivery in my local area is free (Smithtown, St. James and Nesconset). Delivery fees are based on mileage.
